Research Intern

Salem Yohannes is a UCSD sophomore studying Neurobiology. She is a member of the Boz research team interested in brain-specific gene expression and adaptive mechanism under several environmental and caloric stressors. Besides gene activity in the brain, her team strives to better understand the similarities and differences in stress-induced gene regulation between female and male lab animals and within natural populations. Salem aspires to pursue a career in medicine/neurosurgery.
